Big Challenges

What is a ‘big challenge’?

Big challenges might be big for only person or they might affect many people. They could be challenges for students or for students’ friends, parents or grandparents. How is the energy crisis affecting your local community?

Challenges might focus around town planning, the NHS or education. Whatever they are, they should be something you care about, something you would like to discuss and something that we in St Andrews can contribute to in some way.

What challenges might climate change pose for your family in the future?

What about Brexit or Scottish Independence?

What can we do support people with dementia to allow to live at home safely for as long as possible?

Is there something you want to change within the student community?

Change

Change can take many forms and could include updating lecture material or delivery and assessment methods; working closer with externals; capstone projects that drive forward University-based research and teaching to bring about real-world change; cross-curricular teaching or extra-curricular activities; promoting the development of entrepreneurial skills. The steps taken on this journey will be as unique as the challenges you identify.
