As part of their drive to bring a real-world change through a programme Creating Impact through Enterprise Education colleagues Dr Gosia Mitka (Associate Dean Education – Arts and Divinity, Convener of the Entrepreneurial Education Working Group), Dr Gayle Doherty (Director of Impact and Innovation, Senior Lecturer in the School of Neuroscience), Kenneth Boyd (Industry Focus Lecturer in the School of Computer Science) and Dr Kirsty Ross (Industrial Liaison Officer in the School of Computer Science) created and organized a Co-Initiation event that brought together shortlisted students who identified Scotland’s Big Challenges that we wish to address together as an entrepreneurial university community. Students pitched ideas about how to address issues related to mental health, wellbeing, sustainability and local economy and together with internal stakeholders discussed how they can make impact through education initiatives. The programme is funded by Scotland’s Future Series and Director of Eden Campus Geoff Morris. Huge congratulations to the shortlisted students and huge thanks to our colleagues from the Research Impact Team, Research and Innovation Services, Careers Centre, CEED, Environment Team, School of Medicine, Management, Psychology and Neuroscience, and Geography and Sustainable Development who were part of this event and generously shared their time, ideas and suggestions. The next stage: Co-Creation!
